Consider with Kelsey Heinze

1   Describe an art form or medium that piques your interest and why?

1   Painting. I appreciate the time, care and approach that is put into the medium.

2   Describe a memory that makes you feel joy?

2   I think back to my childhood and family home on Long Island. Our backyard was lush with greenery, wineberries, and had plenty of trees to lay under. We also had a pond in our backyard that my siblings and I would spend hours playing about and catching fish.

3   Do you have any rituals?

3   Stretching.

4   What does a family heirloom mean to you?

4   An heirloom is a symbol of love, honor and respect. A token that is protected and instills memory of a person or of an era that will endure for generations.

5   What does self care look like to you?

5   Self care to me is being aware of your needs and taking the time to tend to them. My self care ranges from daily exercise to financial planning.

6   What is a meaningful keepsake you own?

6   My mother’s jewelry box. It is a solid wooden box with a forest green velvet interior. Her initials are engraved in cursive on a gold plate. My mother passed away a few years ago, it’s the little things they leave behind that make you feel closer.

7   What are your simplest pleasures?

7   The ocean.
