1   What is a meaningful keepsake you own?

1   The gold pieces given to the women in my family are so special to me! I have more of a family tradition over an heirloom and it's getting our name plated on a gold necklace (before they became cool! ;)) All of the girls in my family have them and I can't wait to get one made for my daughter.

2   What moves and inspires you most?

2   Being outside on a sunny day inspires me! Our family is always spending time outside whether it's a beach date or in our cozy backyard and I instantly feel recharged after spending time in the sun. My simplest pleasure is jumping in the ocean or sunbathing! Both give me so much life!! My favorite scent is a misty beach morning- it reminds me so much of spending time in Peru, where my family is from. We visit annually and it's always my highlight of my year!

3   How do you try to live a more sustainable lifestyle?

3   We practice sustainability in small ways, the spectrum is wide! We always minimize physical belongings, buy local and fresh food, buy mostly secondhand, use reusable items, and recycle.

4   What is the best gift you’ve ever received?

4   The best gift has been my first big girl camera. My family and husband pitched in and bought me a very expensive camera my first year as a photographer! I'm so thankful for my family and marriage. My husband is truly my partner and biggest supporter, our kids are pretty awesome and darn cute.

5   What makes you feel self-conscious?

5   Assumptions that others may have about me make me insecure, not sure if that makes sense! Social media is a wild thing because you get a glimpse of someone's character through a curated feed and that terrifies me. I would hope people don't romanticize our life or assume we have it all together because it's definitely not perfect. One of the boundaries I have with social media is to not be too personal about my struggles because I find it healthier (for me personally) to share that with my friends and husband who provide a safe space. However, I worry that others will make assumptions and think something of me that isn't accurate.
