1 Describe a scent that makes you feel a memory.
1 Gentle Fluidity Gold by MFK is a scent I feel like ushered me into womanhood. I've worn it so much I feel like it smells like my skin to me now. And Khoung, which is Armenian frankincense. It reminds me of tradition, Sundays at church, or burning it home to commemorate the passing of loved ones. It's spiritual and grounding, I absolutely love it.
2 What is a meaningful keepsake you own?
2 An evil eye necklace my grandma gave me. I've had it for years and am rarely caught without it. Some of the diamonds have fallen out and I've never bothered to replace them. Something about it being worn makes me feel like it's doing its job in regards to protecting me.
3 What are your simplest pleasures?
3 Right now it's indulging in really doing life with my friends. Running errands, spending idle time together, really incorporating ourselves into each other's schedules. Partners come into the picture, schedules conflict, people move, things change, it's inevitable. It's a moment in time I'm really savoring, it won't last forever.
4 What are you curious about learning?
4 Right now I'm really into nunchucks. I needed an activity I could pick up on a whim when I'm tempted to pick up my phone instead. It's been so fun spending time on something that has absolutely nothing to do with work.
5 What is the best gift you've ever received?
5 First things first I'm a big softie. Any kind of written note, card, letter, I'm done for. My heart can barely take it and I keep them all.
